The choreographeractor-director-music composer, who has won the hearts of many with his philanthropic activities as well, has started work on Kanchana, the sequel to his hit film, Muni. Talking to CT, Lawrence says, “After much deliberation, Kanchana has gone on the floors. I’ve put in a lot of groundwork and
I’m happy to have started work on the project finally. Kanchana will be entirely different from Muni and even more entertaining.”

Earlier, there were reports that Anushka will be playing the female lead in the film. But, Lawrence says Anushka is not part of the film. “I’ve retained most of the artistes from Muni, including Kovai Sarala, in this film, though Raj Kiran sir will not be in this movie. I’ve roped in Lakshmi Rai to play a very important role,” he reveals.
